Incredible onsen experience!

convenient bus stop, spacious outdoor onsen, warm and cozy rooms

No private showers available!!! The common area sink was dirty and soap too watery!!! Public toilets were noisy and not private enough for comfort!!! Expect less if you prefer modern features!!!

The onsen was great, but the room was cold at night.

The traditional atmosphere offered a unique experience, complemented by a delightful Japanese dinner featuring hand-cut beef tartare. The futons were exceptionally comfortable, making for a cozy night’s sleep. However, the public onsen was crowded in the evening, and communication with the hosts was sometimes challenging due to limited English. Additionally, cash was necessary for the onsen tax, and the lack of modern amenities in the room was noticeable.

Would recommend for a short-term stay

Comfortable room, welcoming hosts, the outdoor onsen was a delightful feature after a long day, and the included Japanese breakfast ensured a great start to our mornings.

My stay at Minshuku Miyama was enjoyable. The onsen was relaxing after a long day exploring the snow monkey park. Amazing meals were an unexpected delight and left me wanting more!

Our stay was delightful! The hosts were incredibly accommodating, even picking us up and dropping us off for local excursions. The onsen experience was perfect, especially early morning. Exploring the nearby Shibu and Sake Storehouse was a fun highlight for everyone, including my mom!

The outdoor onsen offered a tranquil mountain view that added to the experience, allowing for serene moments under the sky. Our Japanese-style room featured exceptionally comfortable futons, making sleeping a dream-like experience.

Kind owners made us feel at home, with sweet gestures like dropping us at the Snow Monkey Park. The outdoor onsen was a serene experience, perfect for relaxing. The area was remote, so expect to navigate in Japanese, but the cozy, traditional Japanese-style room was a delightful retreat.

This place suits me perfectly, offering air conditioning, wi-fi, and a spa center. The staff helped me find a place to exchange money on my first stay. I highly recommend enjoying the outdoor onsen. I’m coming back for a holiday.
